Evangelism

There are many ministries, including those mentioned below, who seek very specifically to envision & resource Christians for that activity, and who do it very well. ICCC, which sprung from such an evangelistic ministry, has another call; to envision and resource those who have already become disciples of the Saviour, and who desire to work out the implications of their discipleship in the market place of work and business.

Rather than duplicating what others already do well, we encourage those who wish to be better equipped for evangelism to contact these ministries, while we in ICCC concentrate on trying to fulfill our own calling, and thereby complement theirs.  (There are, of course, many other excellent ministries concerned with evangleism which may suit your particular need more exactly)

We commend the following ministries' websites to you:

www.cvmen.org.uk : Christian Vision for Men, (CVM), exists to encourage and equip Christian men in the UK to share their faith in Jesus Christ with their friends and colleagues, by providing resources for those in local churches and in workplace fellowships (where CVM see their work as gender neutral), with a heart to reach others for Christ.   They have a large men-only conference each year, and a large list of speakers for evangelistic meetings.

www.activatecv.org.uk : ACTIVATE aims to help every Christian in the UK, and especially women, to fulfil their potential, and see God use them to take his love into the community; to neighbours and friends who would normally never enter a church. Many evangelistic resources assume that Christians have a wide circle of contacts, yet research shows that the majority of Christians - and church leaders - have few, if any, close friends outside their church circles. So this is where Activate starts, helping Christians build meaningful relationships with those in their ‘circle of influence’ whether this is in the workplace, the home, or leisure activities.

www.bmf-uk.com : Business Men's Fellowship, (BMF), is an International Men's ministry founded by Christian businessmen in 1995. Its purpose is to express the love and power of God, working in and through men in everyday life.   Personal true-life testimonies of men, and their relationship with Jesus Christ, are given at regularly scheduled breakfast, lunch, and dinner meetings. The stories relate to God's love and desire to be a vital part of man's life, both now and forever.

www.fgbmfi.org.uk.  "Empower men for life" is the purpose and focus of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI).  What began following a vision given to Demos Shakarian, a business man, has spread to 160 nations in every continent in the world.  At their meetings Christian men from different denominations and work backgrounds share how the power of God transformed their lives in everyday situations.
