THE CALLING TO THE BUSINESS WORLD

The emergence of ICCC in 1985 marked a new wave of the work of Jesus Christ in restoring His Church. The Church has retreated from its original mission and has been marginalised as a mere religious entity. Now, today, comes the clear calling from God for the Church to claim the marketplace of business for the Kingdom

The calling has gone out to the business community, "Turn around, for the Kingdom of God is here." Turn around, change direction, change your way of doing business, change your circumstances, change your very reasons for doing business. Change from serving Mammon to serving Jesus Christ - for as you serve one you oppose the other.

The process begins with our individual response to serve Jesus Christ, for Him to be Master of Monday to Friday as well as Sunday. It begins with a journey of faith and carries that faith lifestyle into the business arena. This is beyond ethics, more than a new behavioural pattern, it is an inner transformation.

A Holy calling is for everyone in the Church, not just for Pastors and Missionaries. God calls and leads men and women into business. It is deeply challenging - it is a walk with Christ, by faith, in the marketplace.

The next stage is a corporate mission with the implications of community and accountability. The Holy Spirit co-ordinates our individual responses into corporate goals and strategies which show the Kingdom of God in the business world.

The tide of the Church must come into its fullness before Christ's return to rule this world. If we are to play our part we must do business His way.

FOUNDING SCRIPTURES

ICCC represents a serious and challenging call to the Christian Business World to recognise the times we have entered into and in the light of that recognition, to come into a new dimension of faith available to those who fear the Lord... speak to one another... and meditate on His Name." (Malachi 3:16)

The vision calls for a world-wide network of committed businessmen in contact with each other, exchanging ideas, products and services; helping sustain and strengthen each other materially and spiritually; and by the very existence of the vision, proclaiming the rightful authority of Christ to the world at large.

At the heart of the vision of ICCC is God's desire to extend his loving rule, through his church, into the market places of the world. This requires business people who seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness.

"There is an anointing available for those with eyes to see and ears to hear the call of the times. As with King David, whose anointing for kingship came long before the event and for whom circumstances made the event appear anything than likely, so ICCC calls ahead of the event to the Christian business-world to experience a release into a new dimension in which corporate goals, strategies and plans become the outward manifestation of an inward walk of faith.
